Steelers TJ Watt to miss multiple weeks with MCL sprain
According to multiple reports, Pittsburgh Steelers' star pass rusher TJ Watt is expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a sprained MCL in Saturday's victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport says that an MRI confirmed that Watt suffered a "Grade 2" MCL sprain.
Reports indicate that no other issues were found during the MRI and Watt is not expected to need surgery to repair the injury.
Watt left Saturday's game in the third quarter after colliding with fellow teammate Montravius Adams.
NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Saturday night that Watt allegedly attempted to return to the game but was denied by the Steelers' coaching and medical staff.
Watt and the Steelers now await the outcomes of Sunday's games to determine who they will play in the postseason.
