State police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing man who was last seen in Johnstown Thursday.

According to a post on X, state police said Peter Smothers, 63, was last seen on the 300 block of Market Street around 12 p.m.

State police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a brown 2018 Kia Sportage with PA registration LMN-7084.

The post states that Smothers is described as 5'8, 245 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

It is unknown what clothes he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

According to state police, it is believed that Smothers is at special risk of harm or injury, or may be confused.
