A Lititz Fire Company firefighter was caught on camera over the weekend rushing into a barn engulfed in flames to rescue the owner's pet dog from the blaze.

On Saturday, the Lititz Fire Company, along with other fire companies, were dispatched to the 900 block of Erbs Quarry Road in Warwick Township for a barn fire.

As the video begins, a resident of the farm adjacent to the barn fire is seen telling Lititz Fire Company firefighter Ryan Balmer that his was still inside the burning structure.

Wasting no time, Balmer is seen on video springing into action to save the dog from the burning barn. The video shows Balmer clearing out a window to gain access to the area of the barn that the dog was reported to be in. Balmer then climbs through the window, picks up the pooch, and carries him through the window to safety.

The excited and scared pup can then be seen running away from the barn towards her family.

The Lititz Fire Company says that neither Balmer nor the dog were injured in the fire, and that each are doing well.
